放射線治療部における COVID-19 陽性患者に対する事業継続計画の再構築

Abstract

部門内 COVID-19（ CoronaVirus Infectious Disease，emerged in 2019：COVID-19 ）感染によって放射線治療スタッフが減 少すると現行患者の治療継続や緊急症例の受入れが困難となるため，当初はスタッフの安全面を優先し，COVID-19 陽性患者の 放射線治療は行わないこととした．しかし，倫理的な観点や日本放射線腫瘍学会の提言を鑑み，感染制御チームなどの関係部 門と検討し，COVID-19 陽性患者に対しても放射線治療が可能となるよう事業継続計画の改訂を行った．

If the Radiation Department became understaffed due to infection of the staff with Corona Virus Infectious Disease that emerged in 2019 (COVID-19), it would become difficult to continue treating the patients receiving radiotherapy and to accept new emergency cases. Therefore, at first, we rejected the COVID-19-infected patients considering the safety of the staff as a prior ity. However, from the ethical viewpoint and considering the recommendation by the Japanese Society for Radiation Oncology, we consulted with the Infection Control Team and revised our Business Continuity Plan to provide radiotherapy to COVID-19 in fected patients.
